Nancy Jean Schroeder

Nancy Jean Schroeder, 69, beloved wife and mother, passed away early Sunday, May 10, 2020 in her home with her husband by her side. She was born in on February 1, 1951 in Toledo, she was one of three children born from the union of Jack Donald and Marjorie Mary (Stair) Druschel. After graduating with the class of 1969 from Rogers High School, she continued her education through the University of Toledo with a focus in education. Nancy married the love of her life, Harvey Schroeder on June 20, 1975 at Providence Lutheran Church and together the raised four daughters and a son. For more than thirty-five year, Nancy enjoyed teaching and was privileged to work with kindergarten through twelfth graders for the Toledo Public School System. She was an avid promoter of reading, often conveying to her students that books offered adventure, mystery, travel and FUN. She was an Artiste at quilting and a sample of her craftsmanship still hangs at Providence Lutheran Church. Nan loved to take Bill to fish and was in a home-made movie entitled “The Trap”. Nancy Jean will be loved and missed by her husband of forty-four years, Harvey; daughters, Wendy Louise Schroeder, Billie Jean Schroeder-Bennett, April Schroeder; son, Billy Ray Schroeder; brothers, Thomas Druschel and Larry Druschel and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Marajohn Crunkilton and granddaughter, Shelby. A private service will be held followed by burial in Springfield Township Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
