Nancy May Martin, aged 81, passed away this past Tuesday, May 21st. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1942, and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Where she raised 3 children in a loving home.
Nancy enjoyed sewing, so much so that she turned it into a small business called Fit-N-Stich that she ran until she retired. She also enjoyed the outdoors, taking trips around the country on her motorcycle with her friends.
Nancy worked with FEMA over 10 years she would be deployed to help with many disasters over those years in an effort to make a meaningful impact. Nancy worked in the Oak Harbor, Ohio area for over 20 years. Many of those years at Floro’s Marina. Oak Harbor became her second home.
Nancy was an only child and is survived by her three loving children. Cheryl (Mark) Capser, Tony Morrissey, and Melinda Morrissey. She had seven grandchildren, Valorie (Gary) Yedica, Samantha Huff, Cameron Capser, Austin Capser, Brian Emch, Damian Emch, Lexi Morrissey and three great grandchildren Rylee Yedica, Skyleigh Huff, and Kolt Huff. The brother she never had, Kent Floro.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Visitation will be held a Walker Funeral Home of Holland Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy Holland, Ohio on Tuesday May 28th from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery, Centerville Rd.
