Nancy Arlene Harkness

Nancy Arlene (Smith) Harkness, 84, passed away due to an illness surrounded by loved ones at home on November 29, 2025, in Dundee, MI. She was born September 11, 1941, in Ossian, IN to Galen W. Smith and Lucille (Logan) Smith.

Nancy was first married to Stanley Davis, where they had four children. She was then married to Donald Harkness for 50 years where they blended their families together with four children each, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy life with. Nancy worked at Fords in Saline, MI. She loved quilting, painting, spending the holidays with family, and diamond art. Nancy even had a pilot’s license.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Galen and Lucille Smith; her husband, Donald Harkness; her son, Galen W. Davis; and her daughter, Brenda Harkness. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Larry) Clement, Pricilla (Larry) Lensing, Kevin (Tina) Davis, Donna (Steve Bradley, Kim (Carl) Graham, and Jenine (Robert) Livernois; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren with another one on the way.

A memorial will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
