Nadine Prather

Nadine J. Prather passed away suddenly at her home on February 15, 2024, at the age of 76 years old. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to the Union of Andrew and Martha Prather. Nadine was a proud graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School Class of 1965.In her career span of 54 years, she held several jobs in the Toledo area that included but not limited to: C&R Carryout, Bancroft Kent Center, AMC Jeep, Chris' Grocery Plus, Meijer Supermarket. She retired in 2017 from Meijer, in Oregon, Ohio, where she worked in the Meat Department for 24 years. Nadine loved and enjoyed family gatherings, cookouts with friends, home improvement projects, gardening, cooking, sudoku puzzles and football (Buckeye & Steelers Fan)Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Stallings and her childhood & best friend Betty J. Holden-Cooper. She is survived by her Son: J. Darin Pizzato; Daughter: Arnisha (Mark) Prather; Nephew: John Thompson; Grand-Daughters: Arkesha (Tirun Sr.) Carswell; Brandi Prather; Great Grand-Children: Braelyn Carswell, Janaia Carswell, Tirun Jr. Carswell, Nyla Carswell, Layla Myers, Braylon McCrum, Baylee McCrum, Cayden McCrum, Goddaughter Evelyn Mays, and long time, special and dear friends Ruth Barker, Henry Jackson, Vanessa Seymore, Vinnie Gullatt, Liz Williams, Pam Rahe, Liby Caverly, Billy and Irene Sanchez and a host of other kind and loving friends.To honor the wishes our beloved Mother and Oma (Grand Mother), there will be no visitation nor funeral service.
