Nacole Ann Bartolet

Dec 24, 2005 — Aug 17, 2026

Nacole Ann Bartolet, lovingly known by many as "Bacole," "Kiddo," and "Bug," passed away on August 17, 2026. Though her time here was far too short, Nacole's unforgettable spirit, generous heart, and unique personality left an enduring mark on all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Nacole was born on December 24, 2005, and from the very beginning she did life her own way. More comfortable among animals than people, she found peace, purpose, and joy in their companionship. Many of her younger years were spent riding horses and participating in 4-H and FFA, experiences that helped shape the compassionate and hardworking young woman she became. She often spoke about returning to those passions and the happiness they brought her.

A proud graduate of Anthony Wayne High School and Penta Career Center's Small Animal Care Program, Class of 2024, Nacole possessed a true heart of gold. She was the kind of person who would stop what she was doing to help someone else, often putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness was genuine, effortless, and felt by everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Nacole's personality was impossible to overlook. She was wonderfully goofy, fiercely authentic, and completely herself. Whether through one of her famous silly facial expressions, an unexpected dance move, or a perfectly timed joke, she could make people laugh in almost any situation. Her signature red hair and eyeliner became trademarks of her unmistakable style, just as her laughter became a hallmark of every gathering she attended.

Life tested Nacole in ways many could never imagine following her accident in 2023. Yet her response became one of the greatest examples of strength those around her had ever witnessed. She faced every challenge with resilience, determination, and an unwavering refusal to give up. Her family was incredibly proud of the remarkable progress she made and the strong, driven young woman she grew into. Through her recovery journey, Nacole touched the lives of countless people, including complete strangers who found inspiration in her courage.

Her family remains forever grateful to the compassionate caregivers who became part of her story, especially the dedicated staff of the UTMC SICU Unit, Monclova Fire and Rescue Department, DODD Rehabilitation Hospital, and the many first responders who assisted in her care. Their kindness, skill, and support will never be forgotten.

Family meant everything to Nacole. She treasured game nights, time spent together, and the simple joy of trying to beat her mom at the card game Blink, even when victory proved elusive. Music was another language she spoke fluently, providing comfort, connection, and expression throughout her life. One of her favorite traditions was attending Grey Day concerts with her dad, memories that became treasured moments they shared together year after year.

Nacole is survived by her loving parents, Justin, Cassie, and Brooke; her brother, Camden; her sister, Macenzie; grandparents Beth and Dan Krupp, Jodi Napolski, Chris Watts, Karen Greulich, Denise Rogier, and Dave Rogier; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and an incredibly large circle of friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.

While her family grieves the loss of her physical presence, they find comfort in knowing that Nacole's love, humor, resilience, and beautiful spirit remain woven into the lives of everyone she touched. Her story is not defined by the hardships she faced, but by the courage with which she met them, the joy she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
