Mrs. Betty Miller Rohlman

Lavon 'Betty' Jane Rohlman, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on May 12, 1926 to Henry and Anna Miller. Betty was employed as a payroll clerk with Toledo Scales and Doehler Jarvis. Betty was an avid tennis player, which she taught all her children and grandchildren how to play. She loved to watch all the tennis matches on TV. Betty was very active with roller skating, which she would dance on skates. She also enjoyed swimming, at one time swimming 100 laps a day. Shopping was another past time for her.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Rohlman Sr., brothers, Lloyd Miller, Lawrence Miller, sister, Elsa Manz. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Edsel Rohlman, children, Linda (Dennis) Schafer, Debra (Lionel) Thompson-Blackburn, Ricky (Joan) Rohlman, grandchildren, Gary Jr. Kimberly, Tammy, Pamela, Stephanie, Joshua, Billy, David, Christopher, Tamara, Tiffany, Scott, Phillip, Michelle, 30 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, nieces, Shirley Oberneder, Beverly Nicholson, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Sunday, September 28 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. and Monday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am.
