Mr. Rolly Young

Rolly R. YoungRolly R. Young, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio, died Friday, October 3 2008 at his home. He was born on April 21, 1926 to William and Emma Young in Toledo, Ohio. Rolly was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WW II. He was employed with Toledo Edison for 40 years, retiring in 1987. Rolly was an avid golfer and bowler. His children and grandchildren were the highlight of his life. He enjoyed attending all of their sporting events and activities along with his wife, Shirley for many years. Rolly was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, David Mangus Sr. and siblings, Earl, John and LaDonna.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Young, daughters, Michelle (Randy) Mohler, Mary (Jim) Laser, Sandra Mangus, grandchildren, whom he adored, David (Theresa) Laser, David Mangus Jr. Jennifer Mangus, Holly (Patrick) Kollars, Nicole (Derek) Bernard, Megan Mohler, great grandchildren, Tyler, Christopher, Brice, Davy, Brian, Chris, Avery, Parker, Amanda and Addison.Visitation for Rolly will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Monday, October 6 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with funeral services at 10:00 am on Tuesday.Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
