Harold William Hart, age 85, passed peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg early in the morning of November 6. Harold put up a long brave battle against cancer, beginning in 1969. Harold was born to William A. and Elsie M. (Hartman) Hart on September 19, 1923. A native Toledoan, after attending Trilby Elementary School, he graduated from Whitmer High School in 1941. During WWII, he served locally as an Air Raid Warden. After 41 years, Harold retired from Ronfeldt Associates in 1991. Harold was preceded in death by Gleneva (Russell), his beloved wife of nearly 27 years; both parents; brothers Charles, Frederick, Jerald, and Edwin; and sister, Doris (Hart) Kajca. He is survived by daughter, Linda (Hart) Stirn; grandson Jerry (Adrienne) Stirn; great-grandchildren Brandon and Bridgette; brother Hubert (Sheila); and sister Eleanor (Frank) Madachy. Harold also is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Road. (419-473-1301). Funeral service will be at H.H. Birkenkamp at 10:00 am on Monday. Internment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, Ohio. The family wishes to give special thanks to C Wing nurses and other staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg for the wonderful care they provided.
