Mimia Allen

December 4, 1921 — April 18, 2022

The Mighty Matriarch Mimia Belcher Allen, the youngest child of James and Jenny Belcher. She was born December 4, 1921 in Madison County, Tennessee and lived 100 years 4 months. She completed her course on this earth on Monday, April 18, 2022. Her parents and eight siblings preceded her in death. She married Willie James Allen on January 27, 1946. To this union five beautiful children were born:William Billy (Josephine) Allen Jr., Mimia Linda Utley, Norma Molly Allen, Michael Curtis Pig Allen, and Richard Grant Allen. Mimias husband, sons, and daughter-in-law Josephine preceded her in death. Mimia was introduced to Jehovah God and baptized in 1953. All her adult life she was a witness of Gods unconditional love and the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ. She loved her life with intention; doing Jehovahs will and purpose as she preached the good news. Mimia was blessed with nine amazing grandchildren who brought her joy: Joseph (Ella) Plodzik, John Curtis White, Will Anthony Did (Terrina) White Sr., Rhonda Dunbar, Jeremy Scotty (Elizabeth) Allen, Lonacy (Azure) Utley, Mimia Brandy Utley Giwa, Ebony Allen, and Henry Allen Sr. Two of Mimias grandsons, John and Will, preceded her in death. Mimia has a host of honorary children and grandchildren that she loved and adored:Lathina Lyons, Marybeth Hainey, Cherrie Sydenstricker, Angel Allen, Laura Allen, Eva Plodzik-Weaver, and Camille Harris. Like a royal crown is passed through family generations, Mimias name was passed through her family line as a representation of her loyal love. She has a daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and great-great granddaughter who wear the mighty matriarchs symbolic crown. Additionally, Mimia designed and created a maroon velvet dress for her first granddaughter at the age she was set to begin elementary school. Since then, every granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and great-great granddaughter has had the privilege of having their picture made in Mimias heirloom, with a white lace blouse, white lace ankle socks, and black patent leather shoes at 5 years old. Mimia leaves to honor and cherish her memory three dear sisters-in-law Ruby Allen, Phyllis Allen, and Ruth Sis Penamon all of Toledo, Ohio, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Madison County, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Toledo Ohio and the surrounding area. Her wisdom, love, and God-inspired kindness will truly be missed.
