Michael J. Wimmenauer

Michael Wimmenauer, age 66, of Erie, Michigan, passed away September 17, 2013 at his home. He was born October 5, 1946 in Toledo. Michael was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He was the former president and an owner of Ottawa Products, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren especially in his backyard woods. Michael enjoyed wood working, and was an avid stamp collector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Mildred Wimmenauer. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gayle Wimmenauer, devoted daughters, Amy (David) Zarend and Samantha Wimmenauer, beloved grandchildren, Alexis Zarend and Carson Zarend ; sisters, Catherine Sullivan, Mary Wimmenauer and Josephine Hintz. Visitation for Michael will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301) on Saturday, September 21 from 2:00 pm until time of service beginning at 7:00 pm.
