Michael Meisenheimer

Michael L. Meisenheimer passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2021 and found peace joining his beloved wife Linda who he so desperately missed. Mike was born in Centralia, Illinois March 25, 1947. His family moved to Indiana and he eventually moved to Swanton and became a permanent resident of Ohio. He married Linda on December 15, 1979. Together they raised sons Rick and Brian and eventually welcomed Corey to their family. Mike was an over the road truck driver for many years. When he was home, he and his family enjoyed boating and camping. Mike like to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his vacations and day trips with Linda. Mike served in the United States Army for six years serving several tours in Vietnam and Korea. Mike went on to join the VFW Post 2898 where he and Linda became active members. Mike is survived by son, Brian (Christi) Grime; daughter, Corey (Billy) Komon; daughter, Bridget Reed; granddaughters, Ava and Ella; grandsons, Colton and Jordan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His wife Linda (Bartlett) Meisenheimer, parents Ellis and Mary, son Michael Meisenheimer, precedes him in death. Visitation for Mike will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, October 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Avenue, Toledo, OH 43615 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to VFW Post #2898.
