Michael Hastings, Sr.

Michael T. Hastings, age 72 of Dundee, Michigan, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 5, 1943 to Albert and Beatrice Hastings. Michael was employed at Smuckers Company, formally General Mills as a millwright and electrician for many years, retiring in 2013. For many years he was a regular on Thursday nights at Sidelines with all his friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patti Hastings and loved grandson, Paul Burroughs. Michael is survived by his loving children, Lauri (Greg Duvall) Burroughs, Terri (David) Wheeler, Michael (Erika Bailey) Hastings Jr. adored grandchildren, Roy (Brandi) Burroughs, Daniel Wheeler, Marcus Wheeler, Matthew Duvall, great grandchildren, Bella, Zoee and Rowan Burroughs. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18 at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301) from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service, beginning at 5:00 pm.
