Michael Leo Glynn Sr.

Michael Leo Glynn, Sr., age 70, of Toledo, Ohio died in his home on Monday, January 20, 2020. He was born on March 14, 1949 in Toledo to the late Thomas P. Sr. and Helen Edith (Boyd) Glynn. He married Beverly Hardy on June 22, 1968 and they had two children. He worked hard in construction to support his family and retired as a Foreman from Gradel Inc. Although he only attended school through the seventh grade, he was very self-motivated and taught himself to read, write and use technology. Mike enjoyed retirement, spending time with his grandchildren, breakfast with his brothers and sisters along with camping and boating at The Lake. He became the Progressive Bingo Hot-Ball Winner and Royal Flush Guru during his trips to Vegas. He looked forward to spending time on Family Cruises and other vacations. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed a good debate on politics. Mike was a member of the Moose Lodge, #1579, Sylvania, Ohio, he also played golf at the Bedford Hills Golf Club for many years. Mike is survived by his wife, Beverly of 51 years; his son, Michael (Kimberly); grandchildren, Shayla M. Glynn and Sean M. Glynn; siblings, Rita Brewer, Patrick (Marylou) Glynn, Edwin (Kit) Glynn, Fredrick (Chrissy) Glynn, Catherine (Brad) Hoag, Steven (Joe) Glynn, and Cheryl Glynn; many nieces and nephews including LeAnn (Norman) Zavela, his god daughter and Jackie (Tim) Gedert, his niece. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Glynn; brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Postlewait, Thomas P. Glynn, Jr., William Glynn, Judith Shepherd, Paul Glynn and Marlene Yerg. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879).
