Michael Jude Crowley

Michael Jude Crowley, 58, passed away from cardiac arrest Saturday April 1st at Mercy- St. Vincent Medical Center. He attended St. Catherines Grade School, Central Catholic High School, and Columbus State Community College. Having a good time and keen sense of humor were hallmarks of his personality. Known for his passion for airplanes and boats, he was a licensed airframe and engine mechanic. For more than 3 decades Mike happily worked in Florida and Michigan and was currently employed by Endeavor Air (a division of Delta Airlines) as a night shift supervisor at Detroit Metro Airport. He was most proud of rebuilding airplanes including a World War II fighter plane in Florida. Michael is survived by his parents Cornelius Con and Patricia Pat Crowley, siblings Carol, Cornelius Tom, Mary (Steve) Hodapp , Patrick PJ (Patty), Kathleen Kay (Nick) Schimmel, Tim, and Marty; nieces and nephews Nicole (Jake) Smith and Thomas Schimmel, Shannon (Zeb) Riley and Matthew Hodapp, Bailey, Bradley, John, and Jason Crowley, plus many aunts, uncles, and cousins, Diana, Amanda and Allyson; and many neighbors and special friends have become extended family . The family will receive guests from 9:00-11:00 am Saturday April 8th at St. Catherine Church 4555 North Haven followed by Mass of Christian Burial, Fr. Ed Littlemann, celebrant at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Catherine School Roof Fund.
