Melody A. Kitzler

Melody Kitzler Goode died unexpectedly at St. Vincent Medical Center on December 17, 2022, at the age of 55. Born to her parents, Robert and Anna (Skiles) Mercer on January 5, 1967, Melody grew up in the Oak Harbor area for years before moving to the Walbridge area.

Melody, also known as Granny/Mawmaw, devoted her whole life to her family. She met the love of her life, Robert Goode in 1990 and they were lifelong partners. They had three children and planned to grow old together.

Besides caring for her kids, grandkids and even other people’s children, Melody loved to relax with friends and family, loved playing card games with the family, and watch crime solving shows. She would most likely have a cold Pepsi Zero and her own bag of lightly salted chips.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her son Joseph Michael.

Left to cherish her memory are Robert Goode; children Daniel, Amber (Anthony); grandchild Gavin; siblings Eileen (Ray), Robert (Regina), Opal (Butch), Shirley (Herb); sister-in-law Lisa (Bill); and many other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home in Walbridge, Ohio (701 N. Main St.) on Friday, December 23, 2022 from 1 pm – 4 pm. A Memorial Service will follow. Interment will be private.
