Mary Stuart

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, Mary Catherine Stuart, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 75.Cathy was born on April 11, 1945 to Clarence and Leola Wingate. One of her most notable accomplishments in her life was opening Shady Gardens, a Christian adult foster care / assisted living home, which she ran for seventeen years until she retired. Once retired, she continued to live her life looking after the needs of others. She will be missed by all. She was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church and was a child of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved Southern Gospel Music and rarely there was a time when she didnt have it playing in the background. She was known for her playfully feisty sense of humor, her ability to always see the bright side of any situation, her laugh, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Clarence, her mother, Leola, and her sister, Doris, her brother Robert and her first- born son, Jeff.She is survived by her husband, Thomas, children, Gregg, Steven, Danny, Tommy, Tammy, Beverly, Pennie, Belinda and Tiffany and their respective families, and niece, Patti, nephews, Philip and Randy and their families. The interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1502 W. Central Ave, Toledo.
