Mary M. South Mary M. South, 68, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic after an extended illness. She was born on July 28, 1949 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Charles P. and Vivian S. (Bost) South. Mary worked as a hairdresser for many years before working at Meijer, where she retired in 2011 after 12 years. She liked word search puzzles, watching the Food Network and enjoyed going out to dinner with her sisters. Mary attended Christ the King Church in Toledo. Mary is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Todd) Schick; grandchildren, Shelby, Cheyenne and Maxwell; siblings, Virginia (Larry) Pease, Patricia Erdman and Robert South. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 siblings-in-law. Friends will be received on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd, Toledo, Ohio 43613 (419-473-1301) where a memorial service will start following the visitation at 11:00 AM.
