Mary Lou Measles

Mary Lou Measles age 83, of Toledo passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Danville, Pennsylvania November 8, 1928 to Glenn and Leila Appleman. Mary Lou was a nurse for over 50 years at Flower Hospital. She also volunteered her time at the metroparks. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and all wildlife. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John R.; sister, Sue Harris. She is survived by her sons, John Kevin and Patrick Measles; step son, Robert Measles; grandchildren, Jon, Joshua, Taylor, Kyle and Kelsy Measles; brothers, Kester Larry, Don, and Ken Appleman. Visitation for Mary Lou will be at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home (419-473-1301) 3219 Tremainsville Rd. on Sunday, August 12 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services will begin Monday at 10:00 AM internment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
