Mary Ellen Bodi

Mary Ellen Bodi, age 69, formerly of Walbridge and Mansfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her residence. She was born on November 10, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Earl and Laura (Dauer) Williams.

Mary graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School, where she worked through school to pay her tuition. She held multiple janitorial positions after high school, including but not limited to, St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge. She recently caught the travel bug and loved to travel to different states with her family. Mary was loving, caring, hard working and loved to listen to music and spend time with her family. She also loved her cat, Buttercup.

Mary is survived by her children, Kimberly (Jimmy) Bodi and Donald (Wendy) Bodi III; grandchildren, Brianna, Jimmy, Travis, Vlad, Serenity, Donnie, Shannon and Samantha; great grandchildren, Cerese, J.T., Emiliano, Sophia, Ariana, Annabella, Payton; brother, John Williams and many nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert Williams and Max Dauer, partner, Dave Wertz.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 3:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home.
