Martha Jane Marty Wangrin

Marty passed away December 19, 2015 at 6:27 pm in Toledo, Ohio. She was 85; born on February 22, 1930 to her parents Oscar Wangrin, and Mildred Kruse. She was retired as a bookkeeper at Woolworths Department Store. She also worked briefly at Chevy and Hospice. After retirement, she moved to Lakeland, FL to soak up the sun. Our Marty was tenacious, compassionate and full of life. She was a devoted Christian, a wonderful gardener, and the head of our family. She taught us how to bake, make peanut butter buckeyes, can, play cards, and board games. There wasnt a holiday that Marty did not pull out a deck of cards, a bottle of wine, and laugh and play all night. There was no birthday or anniversary that went unnoticed; it was very common to get a letter in the mail, just to say hi or catch up on family news. She was preceded in death by her sisters Janice Ridgley, Kay Martin, Joyce Fritz, Mildred Nowak, and brother Robert Wangrin.Marty resided in Toledo, Ohio with her devoted daughter Denise Alvarez and son-in-law Esteban Alvarez. She is survived by a radiant sister Audrey Harris of Ida, Michigan, a wonderful daughter Wanda Czech also of Toledo, Ohio, her eternal step-son Gene Burke, and his wife Marilyn Burke of Temperance, Michigan. Name had several grandchildern are: Sandy Davis, Keith Davis (spouse), Jeff Fuhr, Beth Fuhr (spouse), Aurora Robeson, Joe Robeson (spouse) and Stefania Czech. Great-Grandmother Marty GG had 8 great-grandchildren: Heather and Collin Inman, Tracy Robeson, Joseph Robeson, Faydra Delano, Olivia Davis, Randy Fuhr, and Merick Czech. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but we are happy that she will finally get to dance and play cards again with her brother and sisters in heaven.
