Mark Takats

Mark A. Takats, age 61, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born January 18, 1960 in Toledo, OH to Elmer and Sylvia Takats. Mark graduated from Rossford High School in 1978 where he excelled in football & track. He then graduated from Bowling Green State University. He developed a love for bodybuilding at a young age, eventually placing 4th in Mr. Ohio. Mark worked as an air traffic controller for 25 years, retiring in 2015. He enjoyed watching Penn State football and the fall season. If you knew Mark, you understood his love for Jesus Christ and unconditional love for his family. He married Janelle (Lucio) July 28, 1990. She survives along with children, Hayley (Isaiah) Bevier, Jordan (Hannah Saba), Emily (Joshua) Bartlett, Alayna (Eric) Luce; grandson, Braden; granddaughter, Lily; father, Elmer Takats; and sister, Shelley. The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Hwy, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) with the funeral service to follow on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Facial coverings required. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Janelle Takats.
