Mark K. Massengill, Jr.

Mark Kevin Massengill, Jr., 38, of Toledo, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2026.

Born on April 30, 1987, Kevin was the beloved son of Michele Troendle and the late Mark Massengill. He attended Southview High School and later continued his education at a trade school in Colorado.

Kevin was a kind‑hearted man who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved working with his hands and was always willing to help others with their projects. He enjoyed watching football, especially cheering for his favorite teams—the Dallas Cowboys and the Michigan Wolverines. Above all, he was a proud father of two and a devoted uncle.

Kevin’s family describes him as having the biggest heart, an infectious laugh, and a personality you couldn’t help but adore. His grandparents and Aunt Charlotte will deeply miss hearing his enthusiastic “Good morning, Grandma and Grandpa!” as he came up the stairs, along with his playful spirit. His mom will miss her best friend, and his brother will miss their daily phone calls and close bond. Kevin’s passing weighs heavily on everyone who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents Thurman, his Uncle Randy, and his grandparents Massengill.

He is survived by his sons, Justin and Conner; his mother, Michele Troendle; his father, Mark Massengill; and his stepmother, Tammy Massengill; siblings, Thomas Massengill, Laura, Rachel, April, and Bubby; grandparents, James and Peggy Massengill, and Tom and Kathy Gonia; aunts and uncles, Kimberly Baumgartner, Ken, Mike & Molly Troendle, Bobby & April Troendle, Dave & Sara Gonia, Charlotte Massengill, and Jimmy Massengill; nieces and nephews, Meeyah and Jocelyn Massengill, Ethan and Hope Giradot; close cousins, Nathan & Nick, Collin & Lauren, Alexis, Tori, Evan, Kyle, Kane, Austin, Sam, and Destiny.

Friends will be received at the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm.
