Marjorie M. Scanlon, age 87 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at Flower Hospital on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She was born in Continental, Ohio on September 8, 1922 to Wallace and Frances Spencer. Marjorie was employed with Northwood Junior High School and most recently for the City of Toledo in the Engineering Dept. She was an avid bridge player, loved to garden and enjoyed sewing. In her younger day, she was very active in sports, especially basketball.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Warren Spencer. Marjorie is survived by her children, Michael Scanlon, Patricia (Stephen) Nikazy, Kathleen (John) Salley, Kevin Scanlon, Tim Scanlon, grandchildren, Jodi, Heath, Todd, Holli, Chris, Cassidy, T.J. and great grandchildren Heather Gunner and James, brother, Wallace Spencer.Visitation for Marjorie will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Thursday, August 19 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with funeral services at 10:00 am on Friday.
