Marilyn J. Ambil

Marilyn J. Ambil, 81, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Otterbein Perrysburg Senior Life Neighborhood. She was born on May 13, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Russell and Eva (Zillien) Schultz, Sr.

Marilyn or “Maizey” as she was affectionately known, had an engaging personality and a very generous, giving spirit. Marilyn loved gardening and cooking, as well as trips to the casino. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, who did anything for those in need. Marilyn was a selfless person who always put others first. She took great pride in raising her children and caring for her grandkids in their younger days. She had a witty sense of humor and she loved to laugh, a trait she passed along to the entire family!

She is survived by her children; Renee (Matt) Cooper, Scott (Patricia) Rigney and Ryan (Stacey) Rigney; and grandchildren, Zachary, Erica, Jack, Lindsay, Reese, Easton and Dane; great grandchildren, Jaimison and Cayden. She is preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Gunther Ambil; and first husband, John “Jack” Rigney.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8779). Visitation will continue on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
