Margery Sue Nicely

Margery June Sue Nicely, age 73 of Temperance, Michigan, passed away Monday, May 19, 2019 at her home. She was born September 9, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Fred and Margery Hamilton. Sue grew up in the Trilby and attended Whitmer High School. Sue married on August 14, 1958 to Robert W. Nicely Jr. in Frankfort, Germany. She was employed for many years as a clerk at Lion Store at Westgate Shopping Center. Sue later was employed with Foodtown as a cashier for 21 years at Alexis and Clover, retiring in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil C. and Margery Bates, loving husband, Robert W. Nicely Jr., son, Jammy Sam Nicely, brother, Martin B. Butch Bates and sister, Virgie D. Tess Willys. Sue is survived by her brother, Virgil C. Corky (Debbie) Bates Jr., children, Robert W. (Lorrie) Nicely III, Darcy R. (Ted) Pawlicki, Troy L. Nicely, precious grandchildren, Michael A.Calderon, Heather R. Laberdee, Robert S. Nicely, Nathaniel J. Nicely and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all, including those she took care of as her own throughout the years. Visitation for Sue will be Friday, May 23 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301. Funeral services will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
