Margeret L. Mattern Davis

Margeret L. Parker Davis, age 89 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at home. She was born in Toledo on March 22, 1921 to Harvey Mattern and Blanche Parker. Margeret was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church and East Toledo Baptist Church. Maggie worked at Steeplechase Restaurant and many other restaurants around Toledo, Bud and Lukes, King Walow, Hinkle Box Company. She loved to bowl and spend time with her family. Margeret was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, John Grant. She is survived by her son, Jessie James Smith; daughters, Catherine Marie Wynn (Randall) and Margaret Judy Riley Carter; 11 Grandchildren; 41 Great-Grandchildren; and 33 Great-Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Margeret will be at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home Monday at 10:30 am. Internment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
