Margaret Ann Hurst

Margaret "Margie" Ann (Bogedain) Hurst, 82, of Maybee, MI, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was born September 24, 1943, in Maybee, MI, to Martin Joseph Bogedain and Mary Ann (Straub) Bogedain.

Margie was married to Hollis Wayne Hurst Sr. where they had three children. Eventually her family would grow by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren that she enjoyed spending time with. Margie worked for General Motors, in Ypsilanti, MI. She was known to be an avid pool player and enjoyed spending time with her family especially during the holidays. Margie was even known to enjoy fishing that she spent most of her time at Sterling State Park, especially when her grandson Eric operated Jeff's Bait & Tackle.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary Bogedain; her son, Hollis Wayne "Hap" Hurst Jr.; her brothers, Hank, Eddie, Donald, Kenneth, Leonard, Martin, and David. She is survived by her children, Tina (Kevin) Davis and Tracy "Alan" (Karen) Hurst; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held for Margaret during the 4th of July, in which was one of her favorite holidays to celebrate. She will later be buried in the London Township Cemetery in Milan, MI shortly after her celebration of life.
