Margaret Ann Baker-Chagnon

Margaret Ann Baker-Chagnon, born January 20, 1946, in Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Margaret was a selfless, caring, and deeply loving woman whose greatest wish was that her family would be cared for after she was gone.

Her life was marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Charles J. Baker and Sophie (Nobis) Baker; her siblings Fritz Baker, Robert Baker (Joanne Baker), Gerald Baker (Donna Baker), and Judy (Baker) Swartz (Jerry Swartz); and her son, Gregory Alan Baker.

She is survived by her loving and devoted family, including her husband James Chagnon; her children Kevin Baker, Betsy Siek (Eric Siek), Sharie Murray (Dennis Murray), Tami Goodwin (Clint Goodwin), and Justin Chagnon (Jennifer Chagnon); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who brought her great joy.

Margaret proudly worked at Chrysler for 31 years, retiring with her husband in 2002. In September 2001, she married the love of her life, beginning a beautiful chapter filled with warmth and companionship. She loved mushroom hunting, gardening and flowers, garage sale adventures, rock hunting and collecting, and-above all-spending time with her family. She also cherished her beloved dogs, Tom and Jerry.

A Celebration of Life honoring Margaret A. Baker-Chagnon will be held at a later date.

Although Margaret's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit continues to comfort and uplift those who loved her. May her memory be a blessing, and may her legacy of love, compassion, and gentleness live on in all who were touched by her life.
