Manuel Banda

July 16, 1952 — April 1, 2022

Manuel Banda, 69, of Walbridge, OH, passed away on Friday April 1, 2022. Manuel was born in La Feria, Texas on July 16, 1952, to the late Pablo and Benita (Rios) Banda.

Our dad was someone who sacrificed so much of his time and himself. We know as a father and grandfather he was such a blessing pouring out his love to us in so many ways. He gave us so much of his time in the most caring and loving way. Always making sure we were happy by being silly and making us laugh. He taught us how to enjoy life. He was always there for us no matter what we were going through. He always put us first before himself. He taught us the most precious things in life; to be generous, be kind, to forgive, and most of all to love each other with all your heart, might and soul. He taught us well because it is the same love we knew how to give back to him in return these past four months in the time God allowed us to have with him. We may have heard stories from different members of our families and from our dad's friends and some of the people he had a chance to meet these past four months about who he was as a brother, a friend and someone who just met him. From what we’ve been told he was a brother who protected his family and who would do anything for them. As a friend he was someone they could count on. As someone who just met him he had kind eyes, was the sweetest man, and they connected with him immediately by his kindness. Our dad, your brother, your uncle, your friend, the man you just met was the kindest man you will ever have known. God has him now in his arms until we meet again when Christ Jesus returns. Until then he will always be remembered for everything great he was in each of our lives.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Rita, daughters, Shelly Banda, and Belinda (Brett) Pollauf, grandchildren, Elyssia Garcia, Dee Fann II, Eliana Banda, Ethan Pollauf, and Evan Pollauf, brothers, Pete (Pam) Banda, Jamie (Maria) Banda, and Arturo Banda, sister, Diane Quintanilla and many nephews and nieces. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Benita Banda and brothers, Ruben & Rick Banda.
