Sadly, our beloved Lonnie “Breezy” (Jeffers) Keller, 62 of Maumee, OH passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Lonnie was born in Toledo, OH to Linda S. Thebeau (Brettlinger) & Richard Jeffers, raised in Whitehouse. She attended Anthony Wayne High School.
Lonnie’s career path varied, but the common thread was her dedication to hard work, razor sharp wit, compassion & genuine love for those around her. Lonnie was a large personality in a tiny package, a true “wild-child”. Her reach was as far as it was wide, and she made an impact on everyone she came across. Even through her many challenges and losses, she always could lend a smile or listen to those that needed kindness. She was a pillar of strength to her family & friends, and her nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She was courageous, nonjudgmental, passionate and fun loving. Lonnie was forever young!
She enjoyed video games like Zelda, riding motorcycles, dancing, soaking up the sun, a bohemian sense of style, TV, reading, all things sweet and spending time with her family. She lived her life to the fullest, unabashedly. She was known to say the wildest things you could think of, and to play devil’s advocate in hopes to help someone gain a new perspective. Even when she spoke in anger, she was often the first to apologize in order to heal what was broken. She struggled with the concept of “tough love” and was close friends with her daughters. She shared an undeniable bond with her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She loved her entire family with her whole heart, despite their quirks, misgivings, & dysfunction. She was a sensitive soul, who loved deeply. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. She was our biggest cheerleader, protector and advocate. She was “HOME” to those around her. She valued loyalty, humor, & authenticity. Her life philosophy was “This too shall pass”.
Her greatest joys & accomplishments were the love of her husband, and the gift of being a mom, grandma, and GG (great grandma).
Lonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Linda S. Thebeau (Brettlinger) & Richard Jeffers; husband, Robert Avaritt; and grandson, Kyreese Hodges. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Keller; brothers, Mathew (Christine) Jeffers, Cale Jeffers and Aaron Jeffers; sister, Sheala Larimer; daughters, Nicole (James White) Quate, Jessica (Benjamin) Hamrick, Lindsay Kruse, Samantha Avaritt; grandchildren, Felecia Quate, Kane Quate, Halie Polansky, Kyra Hodges, and Layla Polansky; 6 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, uncles, and aunts.
There will be a celebration of life for Lonnie on January 3, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, 29530 White Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551. We welcome all that knew & loved her to come share any stories, pictures, eat something sweet and share comfort during this difficult time.
Lonnie will be desperately missed by all those left behind. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to truly be blessed.
