Lois Brown

Lois Ann Slagle Brown, 69, of Toledo died April 25, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital after a brief illness. She was born March 6, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Hobert and Opal (Dean) Slagle who preceded her in death. Lois graduated from Symmes Valley High School in Willow Wood, Ohio in 1967 and then relocated to the Bowling Green and Toledo areas. Lois is survived by her daughters, Christine (Clyde) Coley of Toledo, Susan, and two sons, Donald and Richard; her siblings in Ohio: Karen (Roger) Wilson of Columbus, Rosemary (Dana) Helmondollar of Chesapeake, Dennis (Donna) Slagle of Chesapeake, Janet (Denver ) Hill of Gallipolis, and Betty (Tom) Taylor of Chesapeake; grandchildren: Hope, Wally, Debra and Alex. Lois is also survived by a host of friends and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Coley. Lois brought joy to others through service and creative gifts. Even in her death, she provided life for others through being a donor. She looked forward to each day at the J. Frank Troy Senior Center where she performed her duties with pride. She loved being involved in her local church, the Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she served as an usher and worshipped her Lord.
