Linda L. Stirn

Linda L. Stirn, 69, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born on November 29, 1948 in Toledo to Harold William and Gleneva Martha (Russell) Hart. Raised in West Toledo (Trilby area), she later lived in Sylvania and then Holland at Spring Meadows nursing home. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Whitmer High School and later received her associates degree from Stautzenberger College. She was employed for many years as a secretary. After retiring due to her M.S., Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Some of her favorite hobbies included knitting, reading, bingo, word searches, and internet surfing (after learning first how to use a mouse). She was always as active as possible while at Spring Meadows, going on shopping outings and even Toledo Walleye games. Residents and staff there became her new friends and family, making her last several years very fulfilling. Linda is survived by her loving son, Jerry (Lisa) Stirn; grandchildren, Brandon, Bridgette, Anna and Ryan Stirn. She is preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Trilby, 3219 Tremainsville Rd. 43613 (419-473-1301). Funeral services will be private.
