Linda Lee Cook, age 75, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on March 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 9, 1949, in Howell, Michigan, to Gerald and Shirley (Switzer) Poole, Linda graduated from Wauseon High School in 1967. She pursued nursing at Owens College and Northwest Practical Nurse Training Center and attended the University of Toledo.
Linda worked as a registered nurse for thirteen years at the St. Vincent Medical Center Burn Unit in Toledo, Ohio, before moving to metro Atlanta where she pursued a nursing career in the gastroenterology field for over two decades. In 1990, Linda married Thomas Cook in Duluth, Georgia, where they raised their family. Linda and Tom eventually relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, and upon retirement moved to Mountain City, Tennessee, where they maintained a small farm overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. They recently relocated to Holland, Ohio, where she resided.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children Jacqueline Nagel, Derek Nagel, Brock Nagel (Alyona), Jason Cook (Jocelyn), Chris Cook (Lisa), Jon Cook (Mandy); and siblings, Gary Poole, Debbie Grove, and Gail Lyons. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Shirley Poole; and her daughter, Jill Nagel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Toledo Humane Society (toledohumane.org).
