Obituary for Lewis Cedric MaclinLewis Cedric Maclin, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in Toledo, Ohio at home. He was born September 12, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to his father and mother, Lewis Chester and Carol Maclin.Lewis began his faith journey at St. Phillips Lutheran School and Church in Toledo as a child and continued his Christian faith in Southern California as an adult.After graduating from Devilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio, Lewis received his bachelors degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University and later earned his MBA degree from the University of Phoenix.Lewis was a track and field athlete, specializing in the triple jump, where in high school he was city champion and in college he earned All Mid-American Conference honors, broke the school record as a freshman and still holds the all-time record!Lewis was an avid audiophile that was very passionate about high-quality sound and became fascinated by the technology and science behind it when he would listen to his favorite music.Lewis was a wine enthusiast and loved the adventure of traveling around the globe.His love of aerodynamics led him to Southern California where he established a career in aviation working for McDonald-Douglas, Lockheed, Northrup, Hughes and finally retiring from Boeing after 20 years of dedicated employment.He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers, Langston and Paul Maclin, two sisters, Marsha Bostic and Sandra (Crockett) Walker and a host of cousins, nieces, one nephew, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
