Lelia Mae Ramey

Lelia Mae Ramey, 64, of Toledo, died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to John and Mary (Smith) Ramey on August 13, 1951. She graduated High School in Colorado and then worked for Sylvania School District for many years as a Custodian. Lelia was a member of Greater St. Johns Church of God, where she served as an usher, was part of the kitchen committee, and worked with many ministry outreach programs in the community. Lelia is survived by her loving family; children, Antwon Ramey, Vonita Brock; grandchildren, Antwon Ramey Jr., Anestasia Ramey, Nicholas Ramey, Dremeko Ramey, Rayshun Mitchell, Camilya Brock; sisters, Martha DeWalt, Fannie Ramey, Rita Hill; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Tonnie Beard. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers. Friends will be received at Greater St. Johns Church of God, 2127 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, January 9, 2016 beginning at Noon, with a Funeral Service starting at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be private. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the 7th floor staff at Flower Hospital, the nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Detroit Ave., and to Pastor Hobbs for all of their love and support.
