Lazarus D. Thomas

Lazarus D. Thomas, age 88, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 21, 1925 to Lazarus and Ida Thomas. Lazarus received a Masters Degree in chemistry from University of Michigan in 1949. After graduation, he was employed as a research supervisor in chemistry with the former L.O.F. until he retired. He holds numerous patents for glass. Lazarus was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virginia Thomas, son, John Thomas. He is survived by his children, Pat Thomas, Sue Thomas, Marie LaPorte and Linda (Todd) Totzke, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sisters, Martha Falls and Esther French. To honor Lazaruss wishes there will not be any visitation or services. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home.
