Larry L. Parker

Larry Lewis Parker of Sylvania, OH passed away peacefully February 27th, 2023 at his home. Born January 23, 1954 in Toledo Ohio, he was the son of the late Howard and Dwendolyn Parker. He graduated from the Roy C. Start High School in Toledo with the class of 1972. Larry worked hard to provide for his family and went on many wonderful vacations with them. He was a welder for the Toledo Port Authority shipyard and then worked at MSC Walbridge Coatings for many years before his retirement in 2009. Larry was an avid fisher and loved visiting Vineyard Lake in Brooklyn, Michigan with his friends. Golfing and bowling were also favorite pastimes of his. He loved sports, especially watching the Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, and the Boston Red Sox. Larry loved animals and was kept company by his beloved cat, Lilly. Larry is survived by his beloved daughter Jacqueline Parker and her fiance David Wong of Massachusetts.A viewing will be held on Friday, March 10th, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at the Blanchard Strabler Funeral Home located at 3219 Tremainsville Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Burial will be Saturday March 11th, 2023 at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg , leaving from Blanchard Strabler following Services at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Toledo Humane Society.
