Lacy Stickler August 13, 1937-January 08, 2022 Lacy Stickler graced this earth for 84 beautiful years by creating lasting memories as devoted, loving husband, dad, papaw, great papaw, son, brother (in-law), uncle, nephew and friend to all. Lacy was born in Thayer, WV to the late Linzy and Beatrice Stickler. He was the youngest of 8 children: four sisters (Brenda, Christine, Katherine and Dorene) and one brother (Lawrence), Infant twin brothers (Ray and Roy). All of whom have proceeded him in death. He married the love of his life, Jerri (Cadle) Stickler on July 25, 1957. Together they have seven children; Traci (Steve) Taylor, Terri (Bob) Yahrmarkt, Jeffrey (Jodi) Stickler, Tanya Otto, Tamra (Ken) Williams, Tara (Vernon) Sauceda and Cailtin (Ely) Ayao. He was adored and loved by his 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his son-in-law Walter Estel and great grandson Santino Sauceda. Lacy retired from CSX Railroad Walbridge in 1999 after 43 years. He was the owner of Stickler Trucking and Excavating for 25 years. Lacy was always willing to help whenever he was needed; volunteering at the church, Walbridge Fest Planning Committee and Zoning Board in Walbridge for numerous years. He was an avid bowler in his day, and he loved to pitch horseshoes with his brother in love, Merrill Witt. Lacy so loved his antique tractors and tractor pulls and often took great enjoyment in his kids pulling tractors against him. He was a lifetime member of S.C.R.A.P tractor club, Power of Yester Year, and Luckey Fall Festival tractor pulls. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves out of Rainelle WVa. No words can express the tremendous void that is in the hearts of everyone that knew him, and he will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. He’ll be waiting on The Far Side Banks of Jordan.
