It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Karla Rae McKenzie, on May 14, 2026.
Karla was born in Oregon, OH on November 18, 1959. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend who touched so many lives with her kindness, strength, and unconditional love. She was a faithful Catholic who prayed her rosary every night, finding great comfort in her faith throughout her life. She loved reading books, spending time in the kitchen; cooking and baking, for the people she loved most.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents; Korinne and Valentino Pasqualone, her husband; Dwain McKenzie, her son; Ron DeFalco, her brothers; Phillip, Eric, and Theodore Pasqualone, and her sister; Valerie Basham.
She leaves behind her children Nicole (Wayne) Carey, Chad (Shannon) Ulrich, Amber (Jeremy) Ulrich, Angelina (Craig) Recker, Marissa (Mike) DeFalco, Michael (Danielle) DeFalco, Alexis (Dustin) Nelson, Alyssa Cooper, and Anthony Cooper. Karla also had 20 grandchildren; Victoria, Dylan, Sienna, Eamon, Berkley, Brendan, Audrey, Joshua, Jamie, Brandon, Tyler, Logan, Lainey, Mia, Bryce, Zailey, Azrael, Kolson, Joshline, and Jalyssa. Along with her four great-grandchildren; Harper, Sutton, Tatum, and Serenity. Her siblings Gregory (Deborah) Pasqualone, Keith (Vickie) Pasqualone, Cynthia (Mike) Lowell, and many family members and friends who loved her dearly.
We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones that have gone before her, and is now resting peacefully in God's embrace. She will forever remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed, every single day. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
