Judith Eileen Damschroder

Judith Eileen Damschroder, age 72, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2015. She was born on August 12, 1942, in Toledo to Chester and Lucille (Sams) Banaszak. Judith grew up in Toledo and attended Waite High School and Stautzenberger College. She later met and married her husband of 47 years, Warren Lee Damschroder. Judith had an extensive career during her 37 years, serving in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Ninth District Flotilla 16-13 along with her sister, Catherine L. Smith. She was a coxswain, division staff officer, watch stander, and many other positions. She taught many safe boating classes in the Toledo area. Judith also worked as the Program Coordinator for the International Institute of Toledo. Her contributions to our community are countless. Judith is survived by her three sons, John, Brett and Anthony; sister, Joan (Pete) Carey; grandchildren, Amanda Kolc, and Paige and Tie Damschroder. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister. Per the family, services will be private.Arrangements under the direction of Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, Toledo, OH.
