Joyce Philo

Joyce U. Philo, 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Toledo on July 7, 1947 to Albert and Amy F. (Duhl) Shope. Joyce married her sweetheart and together they raised their children.

Joyce loved nature, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching birds and butterflies. She was a kind and giving woman who took care of everyone. Joyce enjoyed watching her grandchildren in all of their various activities and she never missed an event. She was an avid crafter and loved sewing. She made many gifts for family and friends over the years. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Doug Philo; children, Troy (Debra) Philo, Kristan (Chad) Lillich, Amy (Nicholas) DiMasso, James (Stephanie) Philo, Susan Philo, Katherine (Ryan) Myers; 13 grandchildren, Emily (Adam), Bryant, Tonya, Angel, Shawn, Evan, Jeffrey, Avery, Olive, Morgan, Melody, Sophia, and Isabella; 3 great grandchildren, McKenna, Josephine, and Brady; siblings, Gary Shope, Susan Donahue, and Glen Shope. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, David and James Shope.

Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Walker Funeral Home, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121) on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM with a 6:00 PM Memorial Service. Her family would like to invite you to join them directly after the Memorial Service for food and fellowship at the Red Willow Event Center 5805 Woodville Rd., Northwood.
