John Francis Doncouse, born March 31, 1940 to Norris and Phyllis (Sievert) Doncouse passed away in his home Monday, May 10, 2021. John served his country in the United States Marines and then transferred to the Navy. He went on to become a pipefitter, working for Local 50 and retiring in December of 1998. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and was often found hanging out at The Ward. John’s love of his family was reflected in the hearts of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John’s life will be celebrated by his children; Tammy (Randy) Chitwood, Pamela (Dave) Hall, John (Terri) Doncouse, Sandy (David) Brushaber and Brian; grandchildren; Dean-o (Maggie), Rebecca (Juan), Michelle (Tony), John (Caitlin), Elizabeth (Tommy) and great-grandchildren; Claire, Celia, Kayla, Angaleana, Bridget, Jacie, Catherine, Lily, Brynn, Delaney, McKinley, Andrew and Ava; sister, Karen Barnett and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan; parents; Norris and Phyllis; sister, Connie; brothers, Richard, William and Robert; and great-grandson, James Ford. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be held in the hearts of many. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ability Center of Greater Toledo.
