John H. Campbell

John H. Campbell, age 76, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania. Born on September 13, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, John was the son of John H. and Catherine E. (Mayhorn) Campbell. He shared 35 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Colleen A. (Murphy) Campbell, who preceded him in death.

In his younger years, especially throughout high school and college, John enjoyed playing basketball. He was an avid golfer and loved tending to his garden. Above all else, John treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his children, John Campbell, Sara (Ben) Campbell, and Mary Campbell; his grandchildren, Madison, Audrey, and Matthew; and his sister, Cathi Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Colleen Campbell.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sunrise Funerals & Cremations, Ray Neville Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio. A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm. A private burial will take place at Springfield Township Cemetery, where John will be laid to rest beside Colleen. Memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to a no-kill animal rescue organization.
