Joe C. Gentry Jr., 80, of Gibsonburg, OH, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on July 17, 1935, in Gadsden, AL to Joe Sr. and Stella (Bateman) Gentry both of whom preceded him in death. Joe leaves behind his children, Mike (Sheri) Gentry, Wanda (Perry) Snyder, Scott (Barb) Gentry, Jeff (Terry) Gentry, Polly (Mike) Emch and Jerry (Jill) Gentry; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; special lifelong friend, Corrine Anderson and her children, Sherry Donnell, Sheila Swartz, Mike Anderson, Randy Anderson, their 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Edith Camp, Jackie (Glenda) Gentry, Joyce Richards, Jerry (Peggy) Gentry, and Dane (Shirley) Gentry. Joe took pride in being the oldest sibling. Joe, a business owner in Woodville, opened Woodmore Motor Sales, an AMC dealership, in 1968 and Woodmore Auto Auction opened in 1991. He can still be heard saying, 'AS IS-or Auction Guarantee!' Joe also served as Woodville councilman from 1982-1988. Joe was a licensed auctioneer, a graduate of Minden Hall Auctioneer School, High Point, North Carolina. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. at Woodville Community Center, 200 S. Elm Street, Woodville, Ohio with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. Memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or donor's choice. -
