Joann Grow

JoAnn Grow went to be with her Savior on June 27, 2024, at 87. She was born to her parents George and Margaret (Whiteman) Brison on October 23, 1936, in Harbor View, Ohio.

She married Melvin Wayne Grow Sr. on May 28, 1955, and they shared 54 years of marriage until he passed in 2009. JoAnn was a spirited woman who loved spending time with her husband, children, and her church family. Worshiping and serving at Westside Community Church was important to her. The love of God, family, and friends topped her priorities as well as camping, caring for her lawn and garden, puzzles and the card game 31.

Left to cherish her memory, are children, Cheryl (Doug) Hoffman, Melvin Grow Jr., Dave (Stacey) Grow; sister, Vicki Lynn (Butch) Kline; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

JoAnn was preceded by her husband, Melvin Grow Sr., parents, and siblings, Edward Brison, George Brison, Bob Brison, Mick Brison, Danny Brison, and Ada Lou Nicklin.

A time of visiting will be held at Westside Community Church (6045 W. Bancroft) on Friday, July 5, 2024, beginning at 10 am until the service begins at noon. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to The Church in Toledo in JoAnn’s honor.
