Joan L. Moore

Joan L. Moore, age 78, of Toledo, died Thursday April 6, 2017 at Ebeid Hospice after a long and courageous fight against her illness she never gave up. She was born May 4, 1938 in Toledo to Mr. & Mrs. Arthur (Gladys Whitenburg) Giese. She enjoyed traveling to many Casinos with her husband, William. Survived by her husband, William Moore; son, Scott Swanson; granddaughter, Noelle (Joe) Christ; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sophia, Wyatt and Matilda; sister, Jan Roth and brother, Larry Giese, both of Parma, OH; brother, Adelbert (Kathy) Giese of Temperance, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicki; grandson, Dustyn Holden and sisters Hazel Giese and Lou Clay. Friends will be received at HH Birkenkamp Funeral Home (Tremainsville @ Alexis) on Wednesday from Noon-8PM, where Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM. Burial, Toledo, Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
