Jerry Martin

Jerry Tyrone Martin was born on September 9, 1957, to the union of Donald Martin Sr. and Bernice Martin (deceased) in New Bern, North Carolina. He departed his life peacefully on September 20, 2023 in Dayton Ohio with his brother, Donald Martin Jr., by his bedside.When he was 11 years old, Jerrys parents decided to relocate him and his siblings to Toledo, Ohio. There, as a kid, he attended Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church with his family and he also attended Toledo Seventh Day Adventist for schooling. Jerry then went on to attend Macomber Whitney High School where he played basketball, which he loved dearly. Jerry loved to sing and dance his heart out because he just knew one day, he would become a part of the Temptations. He was a people person, a smooth talker and our great aunt often said, He could talk crust off of a biscuit.He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Martin and several other loved ones.He leaves to cherish his memory his dad, Donald Martin, Sr.; his siblings, Vivian Bennett (Eric, deceased), Angela and Donald Martin, Jr. (Stephanie); his daughter, Precious Martin; his four grandchildren, Autumn Martin, Jerry Hughes, Promise Martin and Paisley Martin; his nieces, Erica Martin, Jasmine Coleman and Renee Young (aka Ernie); his nephew, Kingston Martin, as well as other relatives and close friends.
