Jerry R. Lee, age 78, of Toledo died Saturday, Dec. 6, at Aspen Grove Assisted Living. He was born September 8, 1930 in Findlay, Ohio to Lowell and Erlene Lee graduating from Woodward High School in 1949. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He worked many years in television repair including owning his own shop Lee Brothers TV with his brother Ronnie. He also worked at Life of Virginia as an insurance agent and as a dental technician at Tolson Dental Lab. Jerry was a jack of all trades throughout his life and could fix and make just about anything. He was a CB radio enthusiast, enjoyed fixing up old cars, and loved to ride his motorcycle.Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann in 1989 as well as his son Roger, son-in-law Jack Johnson, brothers Ronnie and Dwight, sister Betty Klement, and his faithful canine companion Roxey. Survivors include daughters Peggy Johnson and Carolyn Lee-Wagner (Bill), grandchildren Jackie LaScola (Tom) and Will Lee-Wagner, and great-grandson Brendan LaScola, sister-in-law, Valarie Lee. Jerry will be missed by his family and friends including special friends Nadine, Betty, and Isabella. The family extends their thanks to the staff at Aspen Grove and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their excellent care. Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 12, at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home 3219 Tremainsville Road (at Alexis) from 2: pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
