Jerome Jaegle

Jerome Jaegle, age 98, of Largo FL and formerly of Toledo, died Friday September 9, 2016 in Largo. He was born April 15, 1918 in Toledo to Mr.& Mrs. George (Mary Scherer) Jaegle. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, serving with the Seabees. Jerry was an Office Manager for Colonial Finance, later Time-Credit Corp. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of the former St. Agnes Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, helping others in his retirement community and ballroom dancing with his wife, Gwen. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Gwendolyn in 2011; brothers,Roy, George, Harold and Donald Jaegle; sisters, Rose Schneider, Marcella Burks and Ruth Rudolph. He is survived by his sons, Richard, Thomas and Gregory; grandchildren, Rick, Robyn Schneider, Matt, Carson, Randy, Beth Tolli and Tara Robinson; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home (1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, 419-269-1111) on Friday from 2-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, where the family will receive friends after 9 AM.
