Jeffrey Wayne Wheeler

Jeffrey Wayne Wheeler, age 72, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Jeffrey was a graduate of Springfield High School and began his career as an electrician, shortly after graduating. Jeff was employed with IBEW Local 8, until his retirement. He taught at JATC, for over 10 years, educating and preparing students for their careers. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed camping, was an avid fisherman, and loved going on vacations, especially to Myrtle Beach. Jeff was a passionate bike rider and lifelong owner of Harley Davidson motorcycles. His favorite holiday was Christmas, and he was known for making a big Christmas morning breakfast, all while watching A Christmas Story. Most of all, he cherished the time and memories spent with his family. Jeff will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Jeffrey Wayne Wheeler was born on December 18, 1951, the son of Wayne and Trudy (Jackman) Wheeler, in Toledo, Ohio. He married Geraldine “Jerri” Hallock, on December 31, 1990, and she survives.

In addition to his wife, those left to cherish Jeff’s memory include his children, Stacy (Eric) Matousek, and Mike (Chrissy) Logan; grandchildren, Kyle (Marisa) Buck, Taylor Clark, Mariah Koester, Emily and Elizabeth Logan; great-grandson, Blake Buck; siblings, Helen Wheeler, and Mike (Julie) Wheeler; many nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Trudy Wheeler; daughter, Jami Gerity; sister, Becky Klocinski; and nephew, Mike Wheeler.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 12:00-3:00 pm in the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Life Celebrations, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio. A funeral service will take place immediately after. A luncheon will follow at Bunker Bar, 1950 South Eber Road, Holland, Ohio 43528.

Memorial Donations are suggested to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
